 FT SCREW
1.   As illustrated below, the cross section of FT threads shapes hexagonal in its
   external form and round in its root form. FT screw forms internal threadsby the
   corners of its hexagonal cross section.
2.    The ridgelines of hexagonal corners are twisted by 12 degrees against axial line of screw.
    This enables to maintain low and stable driving torque.
3.   FT screw can be used for various kinds of metal as far as it has the property of
   ductility and FT screw makes it possible to reduce the total fastening cost which is
   several times higher than the cost of screw itself.

Features and Functions of FT Screws

FT screw used in no-tapped hole

1.      No tapping process required
    FT screw is capable to tap the hole by itself.

    FT screw forms internal threads of ISO pitch on
    drilled,
    pierced or die-casted holes.

2.      No chips produced
    No chips are produced, because internal threads are
    made by forming process..

3.      Being Compatible with machine screw
    Internal threads formed by FT screw are fit for
    machine screw of JIS standard.


FT screw used in pre-tapped hole.

1.      Usable for damaged internal threads
    FT screw can be used in damaged internal threads, such as damaged by sputtering of
    welding process. FT screw reforms damaged threads by its forming process.

2.      Usable for painted internal threads
    FT screw can be used for thick painted or coated internal threads.
    The paint or coating are easily removed by the hexagonal cross section of FT threads.
    This makes it possible to eliminate the process of masking or re-tapping.


Other Features

1.      No spring washer required
    With strong thread engagement obtained
    by threads forming process, FT screw has
    strong resistance to looseness caused by
    vibration or impact. This feature enables
    to eliminate the use of lock washers and to
    cut down the assembly cost.

    FT screw keeps close contact with internal
    threads and this secures high efficiency in
    electric ground.
